  33. 1.1  What is Matchup baseball?

  36.   Matchup baseball is a baseball simulator / game. It matches up 2 teams
  37. and their statistics and allows for the Matchups that were never possible.  
  38. Imagine The Rocket vs. the Homerun King.  Players of today can face the 
  39. greats from earlier eras. How about the '27 Yanks vs. the '96 Yanks or an
  40. entire lineup of Belle vs. a lineup of Bonds.  
  41.  
  42.   The outcome is NOT random, rather based on the statistics of the players
  43. matched up. Just pick the teams to Matchup and playball. You control the 
  44. speed of simulation or you can use the Lightning feature to complete a 
  45. game in just seconds.  View the statistics of the game you just completed
  46. and compile them to keep track of a seven-game series, an entire season or
  47. whatever you wish.

  49.   Even Edit/Create your own teams, you can enter the stats yourself or select
  50. from previous years just by clicking!  Quickly build teams with full stats 
  51. from 1994 to 1996 which are included! The Stats are in comma delimited text
  52. format so they are easily imported into spreadsheet programs.

  54.   View compiled stats (*.cmp) or the statistics of a matchup baseball 
  55. team (*.bb).  Bring in a player from the bench or a reliever from the bullpen.
  56. Seasons and best of Series' available!  Even add your own sounds!

  58.   FANTASY - View three-year averages and look at hitter and pitcher Sagarin
  59. ratings with Dollar$ values.  Even conduct your own draft!

  61.   Even though there are an infinite number of factors involved in the outcome 
  62. of a baseball game, Matchup baseball gives a close approximation of outcomes 
  63. that is quite impressive.  However, other factors when comparing different
  64. eras of players should be taken into account, from different rules
  65. to different lifestyles.  Enjoy the Matchups!

  68. 1.2 How to play

  70.  Just select the Home and Visiting teams along
  71. with their respective starting pitchers and playball. You have the ability
  72. to control the speed of game simulation.  Use the Lightning feature to 
  73. complete the game in just seconds.  Use the Quick Pitch feature to flip
  74. through hitter/pitcher matchups quickly or use the Cruise Control button 
  75. to relax and enjoy the play-by-play occur.  
  76.  View the statistics of the game you just completed and compile them to 
  77. keep track of a seven game series, an entire season or whatever you wish.    
  78.  Select COMPILE to keep track of statistics. Even Edit/Create your own 
  79. teams, you can enter the stats yourself or select from previous years just
  80. by clicking!  Quickly build teams! The Stats are in comma delimited text

  122. Shareware is a distribution method that gives users a chance to try software
  123. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, 
  124. you are required to register it.  It is a nice concept for both users and
  125. programmers.
